Every once in a while — very rarely — I run a satirical piece on this site. This is not one of those times, though it may seem that way.

Recently, during a Q&A session at John MacArthur’s Truth Matters conference, MacArthur was asked what his thoughts were on Beth Moore. MacArthur had a simple answer.

“Go home!”

MacArthur was very clear in his answer that there is absolutely no biblical case to be made for female preachers. Thank God there are still Christian leaders left in this world that have a conviction to stand for the truth of God’s word.

Southern Baptist president, J.D. Greear, is not one of those men. In fact, J.D. Greear is a mess, unqualified to pastor his own church, let alone lead an entire denomination. In a mocking response to MacArthur’s biblical affirmation, J.D. Greear invites Beth Moore to his house.

Of course, it should come as no surprise that this SBC president would welcome false teachers into his home despite the biblical command not to (1 Corinthians 5:11), this is the same man that called on Christians to stand up for LGBTQ rights while asserting that homosexuality and sexual immorality are morally equivalent to boasting.

He’s even said that it’s “great” if someone wants to vote for an abortion-promoting Democrat, so long as you give lip service to opposing abortion.

And Beth Moore, the straight, white male-hating feminist, is who he welcomes into his home.

Beth Moore has exposed herself as full-on egalitarian — that is, one who rejects the biblical model for the roles of men and women — and has launched a tirade against biblical womanhood. She has practically embraced homosexuality and has joined hands with gay activists a number of times for various causes — usually for opposing the biblical view on something. She has refused to denounce homosexuality as sinful and says that doing so is “exceeding Scripture.”

She has joined the chorus on the liberal left in denouncing white people and always assuming the worst about straight, white males. She promotes unity with well known false teachers like Joyce Meyer and has even declared that spending time in God’s Word is not the same thing as spending time with God.

She’s a mocker and has referred to those who go to bed early on Saturday nights for church as “trolls.” And she has made a habit of using acronyms for cuss words to “rebuke” her “fellow leaders.” Bottom line, she has no respect for the authority of God’s Word.

And let’s not forget, Southern Baptist leader, Russell Moore, says that “an SBC that doesn’t have a place for Beth Moore doesn’t have a place for a lot of us”

So while the top two Southern Baptist leaders are playing footsie with and mollycoddling this false teacher, it is safe to say that the Southern Baptist Convention has surpassed its fate as a sinking ship — it is a complete joke.
