Russell Fuller, a former professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary under Al Mohler, made headlines last year after he was fired not long after signing John MacArthur’s Statement on Social Justice. Fuller — who refused to take a bribe from Mohler to keep quiet about the seminary’s happenings — has been completely outspoken since he was let go and has named several professors, including Dominick Hernandez, who he says teaches and promotes mythology and Jonathan Pennington, who he says promotes postmodernism.

Addressing the recent decision by the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee to cave to the demands of the woke leftists to waive attorney-client privilege in the sexual abuse investigation scam, Fuller explains that he doesn’t believe that this is going to end well for the denomination.

“This is going to be problematic on many levels,” he said in an interview with Jon Harris of Conversations that Matter, “We don’t know where this is going to go.”

“I don’t know anybody in the Southern Baptist Convention who is for sexual abuse or defending people who are committing sexual abuse…however, it’s a matter of what is right.”

“I think the apostasy in the Southern Baptist Convention as a whole–not every church–was much deeper than I thought.”

Fuller explained that the situation with the Executive Committee and the sexual abuse scam is causing division and that he is unaware of any credible claims of anyone covering up incidences of sexual abuse. Fuller explained that the convention faces much bigger issues, including the ERLC filing false briefs before the Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals claiming that the Southern Baptist Convention is a hierarchical organization when they know that it is not.

Fuller went on to complain that Southern Baptist Convention’s seminaries are teaching heresy and postmodernism–likely a reference to Hernandez–along with Critical Race Theory, and social justice, and liberalism.

Fuller also mentioned that the denomination’s North American Mission Board (NAMB) and along with LifeWay are both corrupt with mishandling money and the leaders using the entities to line the pockets of themselves and their friends. “These are just pure examples of corruption–you don’t hear a word about it.”

Citing Russell Moore’s “leaked letter” making unsubstantiated accusations against conservatives prior to the annual meeting, he said that the entire witch hunt at the Executive Committee right now was part of Moore’s “scorched Earth policy.”

“I have a feeling this is Russell Moore’s revenge taking place.”
