If you aren’t aware by now, the Houston Chronicle released a report yesterdaydocumenting hundreds of sexual abuse allegations that have, apparently, been swept under the rug over a period of about 20 years. Southern Baptist president, JD Greear, insists he is “broken” over the report.

“The abuses described in this article are pure evil,” he declares, “I join with countless others who are currently ‘weeping with those who weep.’”

Pure evil, I tell ya! Except, just days ago, this same JD Greear released a video of a sermon he preached insisting we believe that sexual immorality — particularly, sodomy — is morally equivalent to boasting and materialism.

Quoting female bible teacher, Jen Wilkin, Greear says,

We ought to whisper about what the Bible whispers about, and we ought to shout about what the Bible shouts about. And the Bible appears more to whisper when it comes to sexual sin compared to it shouts about materialism and religious pride.

Of course, while Greear is preaching this sermon — calling on Christians to stand up for LGBT rights — you can just hear the sexual predators all around silently cheering him on.

In a series of tweets, Greear continues,

This is absolutely contradictory to what Greear just preached in his pro-LGBT sermon. Really, Greear? You just told us to shut up about sexual immorality, now you want us to expose this sin to the light?

Of course, we should. The fact that you belie your very own words you just recently spoke goes to show just how irresponsible you are at handling the Word of God. Your conscience tells you that sexual sin is a grave evil — demanding the harshest punishment from God and government — yet you actively, purposely, and defiantly attempted to use God’s word to say otherwise.

Now he wants to listen to the warnings. By the way, many people are warning about the infiltration of LGBT inclusiveness in the churches as well — men like Sam Allberry who are pushing a pro-homosexual agenda. The Gospel Coalition, who are using homosexuals to promote the idea of “single-parent adoption.” Are you going to listen to those warnings as well? Or are you going to wait until another disaster happens?
